    AMAZING PLANT STAND
                                THE PLANT MAN
How does it work? How do you build it?
You will need 5 standard clay pots with drain holes:  A 12 inch pot for the
base, two 10 inch pots, and 8 inch pot, and last a 6 inch pot. (Note: Take your
plant stand with you when you select your pots).
Potting soil and rock: I suggest decorative white marble rock for it's dense weight.
Plants to fill the containers:  Select plants with similar characteristics
such as full sun or shade.

BUILDING YOUR BEAUTIFUL PLANT STAND CAN BE FUN!
First: Decide on a theme.  Will your plants be inside or out? How much sun or shade can determine what
type of plants you will grow.  A knowledgeable person at your nursery can help you with your selection.
Second: Select a level spot to build your plant stand on. Once it's completed, it will be too heavy to move.
Third: Place your plant stand into the 12 inch base pot. Gently place rock into the base pot until 3/4 full.
Plant around the edges of the base pot leaning your plants outward.  Fill the center of the base pot with
potting soil to cover the wings of the plant stand.
Fourth: The second pot (10 inch) needs 2 inches of rock to add more stability to your plant stand.
Fifth: Plant the remaining pots full.(two tens, an eight, and a 6). Now you're ready to slide the pots on.
Sixth:  Lean sharply at an angle and side the first 10 inch pot(with two inches of rock) onto the rod scrapping
the clay until the rod passes through.  Continue to slide the pot downward until the rounded edge of the first
10 inch pot rest between two wings of the base pot. Angle and slide the remaining pots on the plant stand
leaning them the opposite direction.
Seventh: Water your plants gently as not to lose potting soil. (A hint when watering) I remove the 6 inch pot and drench it. I slide the top pot back on, turn my water hose to shower, and spray the slanting up side of the of the clay pots for 5 to 6 seconds. I travel up and down the stand several times. This will actually water two pots at once. ENJOY YOUR PLANT STAND!

         BABY PLANT STAND
                                      THE PLANT MAN
How does it work? How do you build it?
You will need 3 standard clay pots with drain holes:  A  6 inch clay pot for the
base, followed by two 4 inch clay pots. If your plants are to be kept indoors, you will
need a draingage tray for the bottom of your Baby Plant Stand.

Potting Soil: (If your Baby Plant Stand is to be placed outdoors, add 3
inches of rock for stability).
Plants: Herbs make excellent plants for the Baby Plant Stand and can be grown
indoors or outdoors.

Second: There is no need to worry about where you place your Baby Plant Stand because its weight is light
and can easily be moved.
Third: Place your Baby Plant Stand inside the 6 inch base clay pot.  Consider using small rock if the Baby Plant
Stand is to be outdoors (2 to 3 inches). Add potting soil and plant around the outer edges of the base pot.
Fourth: Plant your remaining two clay pots full to help hide the Baby Plant Stand.
Fifth: Tilt the 4 inch clay pot at an angle. Push it downward onto the top of the Baby Plant Stand through the
drainage hole.  Continue to slide the rod along the side of the clay pot until the rod passes through. The 4
inch pot should rest on the Baby Plant Stand inside the 6 inch pot.
Sixth: Tilt and slide the 4 inch pot onto the Baby Plant Stand in the opposite direction.  It will rest on the 4 inch
pot.
Seventh: Water your plants gently as not to lose potting soil. (HInt: I remove the top 4 inch pot when I watering the Baby Plant Stand.  ENJOY YOUR PLANT STAND!
