| AMAZING PLANT STAND | | | |
|
THE PLANT MAN | | | | |
| How does
it work? How do you build it?
| You will need 5 standard clay pots with drain holes: A
12 inch pot for the | | |
| base, two 10 inch pots, and 8 inch pot, and last a 6 inch pot. (Note: Take your | | |
| plant
stand with you when you select your pots).
| Potting soil and rock: I suggest decorative white marble rock for it's dense weight. | | |
| Plants
to fill the containers: Select plants with similar characteristics
| such as full sun or shade. | | | | | | |

| BUILDING YOUR BEAUTIFUL PLANT STAND CAN BE FUN! | | |
| First: Decide on a theme. Will your plants
be inside or out? How much sun or shade can determine what |
| type of plants you will grow. A knowledgeable person at your nursery can help you with your selection. | |
| Second: Select a level spot to build your plant stand on. Once
it's completed, it will be too heavy to move. |
| Third:
Place your plant stand into the 12 inch base pot. Gently place rock into the base pot until 3/4 full. |
| Plant around the edges of the base pot leaning your plants outward.
Fill the center of the base pot with
| potting soil to cover the wings of the
plant stand. | | | | |
| Fourth:
The second pot (10 inch) needs 2 inches of rock to add more stability to your plant stand.
| Fifth: Plant the remaining pots full.(two tens, an eight, and
a 6). Now you're ready to slide the pots on. |
| Sixth: Lean
sharply at an angle and side the first 10 inch pot(with two inches of rock) onto the rod scrapping |
| the clay until the rod passes through. Continue to slide
the pot downward until the rounded edge of the first
| 10
inch pot rest between two wings of the base pot. Angle and slide the remaining pots on the plant stand
| leaning them the opposite direction. | | | | | |
| Seventh: Water your plants gently as not to lose potting soil. (A
hint when watering) I remove the 6 inch pot and drench it. I slide the top pot back on, turn my water hose to shower,
and spray the slanting up side of the of the clay pots for 5 to 6 seconds. I travel up and down the stand several times. This
will actually water two pots at once. ENJOY YOUR PLANT STAND! |
